NY pair accused of armed robberies of Bergen County NJ gas stations
A pair of alleged robbers from New York, who are accused of targeting gas stations in Bergen County, were arrested last week and will be extradited to New Jersey to face a slew of charges.
Ricky Quezada, 24, of New York City, and Asbiel Feliz, of Mount Vernon, New York, are accused of a spree of armed robberies, beginning on Oct. 9 in Clifton, with the theft of an Xbox at gunpoint from a would-be seller the two met online, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Monday.
Authorities suspect Quezada and Feliz struck again on Oct. 29 when they allegedly robbed two separate gas stations on Route 46, first in Elmwood Park and again in Ridgefield, by holding a knife to the station attendant’s throat, and in one case hitting the attendant multiple times in the face.
Quezada and Feliz ransacked the cash register, as well as taking lottery tickets and cigarettes before fleeing in an older model Nissan registered to New York, prosecutors stated.
The following day, the same suspects allegedly robbed a third gas station on Route 4 in Fort Lee. One suspect threw hot coffee on the attendant and threatened him with a knife before the two fled in a Nissan, similar to the one seen in the other two robberies.

Authorities eventually identified Feliz and Quezada as suspects in their investigation, and on Nov. 3, they located the Nissan in New York City and surveilled the parked vehicle until Quezada approached it, at which time he was apprehended and charged.
Two days later, Feliz was arrested at his home. The pair are awaiting extradition to New Jersey, where they face charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, theft, conspiracy and a weapons offense.
