The end of Eclipse season 2022: what to know
Eclipse season 2022 is on its way out…finally.
Yes, it might’ve only been a few weeks long this fall—starting with October’s new moon in Scorpio and ending with the November full moon in Taurus—but it’s been potent time, and we wouldn’t mind a little break.
“Since everything turns on a dime during the eclipse season, it might be best to allow each event to unfold as it may,” astrologer Liz Simmons (opens in new tab) recommends. “Eclipses act as cosmic catalysts, so the season typically brings out fated yet somewhat unpredictable changes in our lives.”
Though it’s nothing we can’t handle (we’re cosmic pros, after all), sometimes we’d rather not deal with such a strong energy. But once we read our November horoscope, we had a feeling things would be intense with the next eclipse.

During the next full moon on November 8, which coincides with a total lunar eclipse, the Taurus themes of security, loyalty and love are likely to come into play. We can either go through something new or wrap something up. (It all depends where Taurus falls in your chart.)
Since things might feel kind of hectic, now is the time to stay grounded (perhaps some meditation or journaling can help).
“This is the time to let go and reflect instead of taking action. Although tempting, it might be best to hold back from performing lunar rituals, setting intentions, or even manifesting,” Simmons adds.
One of the reasons astrologers so excited to make it out of the eclipse season is because of what’s coming at the end of the month: the next new moon. Its exciting and jovial spirit is one we’ll certainly want to carry into 2023.
“Since this moon is reporting to Jupiter, which will station direct in Pisces on the same day, you may feel notably optimistic about whatever the future may hold,” Simmons says. “New moons begin a new cycle, so this one is flavored with the expectancy to expand, explore, and grow.”
We heard that! Yes, we’re planning on learning during the eclipse season…but we won’t mind saying goodbye, either!
