The Waxing Inconjunct is a disconnect between personal and impersonal. Detachment, a social issue or cool independence is jarred by the need to tune into your feelings. Something close to you demands acknowledgement and perhaps you feel vulnerable or “too” emotional. 

This part of the monthly lunar cycle is tricky because you must balance incompatible energies. The personal (family issues, your discomfort, your neediness) must be acknowledged even as you look to the future or the group. Freedom must be carefully modulated so that all energies from the past are not cut off. 

Continuing the theme of the past, Venus’ trine to the South Node is an easy, pleasurable energy – a familiar relationship, habit or value unfolds. There could be a gift or effortless attraction. This is the path of least resistance and as boundaries dissolve, consider whether easy equates to happy or enabling. 

Venus is also making a sextile to the Taurus North Node (which she rules) so while the pull backwards will be strong, there’s also an opportunity to build something for the future. Watch for the opening that allows you to take this situation forward – make it real, solidify your values, aim for peace and steady growth. Take it further than you have in the past – don’t settle for things as they were and are. 

Today’s overall message is that the past has value. Honour it, tap into its resources, but don’t stay there – as always, the future is where you want point yourself.
