NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR CANADIAN CITIZENS

Canadian citizens can avoid a New Zealand visa by applying to the New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA). In order to enrol in this system, they must meet the NZeTA requirements for Canadians. The NZeTA application for Canadian citizens is quick and easy to complete. Once registered, they can visit the country multiple times over the next 2 years with the same NZeTA, all visa-free. However, this only applies if Canadians do not wish to stay in New Zealand for more than 3 months.  If you want, you have to apply for a visa.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR CANADIAN CITIZENS

• Passport – Canadians who want to apply online need to have a valid passport. Also, you have to make sure that the document is valid for at least another 3 months from your date of departure from New Zealand.
• Digital photo – the picture needs to be as recent as possible and meet all the other guidelines for a passport photo.
• Means of payment –You can use a credit or a debit card, but you can also pay using PayPal
• E-mail address – You will receive the visa via e-mail in PDF format. Do not forget to print a few copies so that you have a spare or two.
• Means of sustenance – once you arrive in New Zealand, you need to prove that you can support yourself during your trip. A bank account statement should be more than enough.

New Zealand Visa For Hong Kong Citizens

Hong Kong citizens travelling on a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passport or a British overseas passport may enter New Zealand for a period of up to 90 days by applying for a New Zealand eTA. The NZeTA is not a visa but mandatory for Hong Kong citizens since October 1, 2019. Whether Hong Kong nationals require a visa to enter New Zealand from Hong Kong depends on the purpose of their visit and the length of their stay. For travel of up to 90 days for tourism or business purposes, Hong Kong citizens can apply online for an Electronic Travel Authorization instead of a traditional visa.

New Zealand visa Requirements for Citizens of Hong Kong

• Passport – all applicants need to have a valid passport when they apply online. For that, assure that the document remains valid for another three months from your arrival in New Zealand.
• Digital picture – the image has to meet all the guidelines to obtain a good passport photo.
• Payment Options – you can use a credit/debit card or PayPal.
• Email – You need to provide a valid email address to receive your ETA. Remember that you need to have a copy of it.
• Means of livelihood – once you are in New Zealand, you have to demonstrate that you can support yourself during your journey. If you provide a bank account statement, it will be sufficient.

Japan is one of 60 countries that have a visa waiver agreement with New Zealand. From 1 October 2019, Japanese citizens wishing to visit New Zealand will need an NZeTA.
