What Saturday’s full moon means for YOUR star sign: Horoscopes and astrology for

Leading astrologer Rose Smith has revealed what Saturday’s full Harvest Moon means for your star sign – and it’s shaping up to be a highly emotional few weeks.

September will be jam-packed with the Harvest Moon, Mercury Retrograde and Spring Equinox all falling within the month – a combination that will result in ’emotional turmoil and big changes for many of us’.

Rose says spiritually we can expect these events to impact our emotions and relationships and it’s important to be wary of the way in which we communicate with our loved ones.

‘We have three big events involving the heavens: the famously bright Harvest Moon on Saturday (September 10th), Mercury Retrograde starting the same day, which is notorious for throwing people off balance, and the important seasonal marker Spring Equinox (September 23rd) with equal hours of day and night,’ she said.

Why is it called the Harvest moon

Every full moon has its own name based on the month or the season.

The term ‘harvest moon’ refers to the full, bright moon that occurs closest to the start of autumn – or spring in the Southern Hemisphere

The name dates from the time before electricity, when farmers depended on the moon’s light to harvest their crops late into the night.

‘These events are messing with our emotions. The Harvest Moon will be in Pisces, potentially making way for insecurities and moodiness to bubble over. Mercury Retrograde will slow communication and disrupt technology, and then Spring Equinox signals new beginnings and change in our lives.’

Rose said there is a positive side though, with Pisceans finding their intuition to be much stronger and anyone who has started anything important prior to Mercury going retrograde, will probably have better luck completing it now.

‘When a new season is starting the weather is most changeable, and spring is the windiest time of year – the winds of change – and you are likely to change your mind about things,’ Rose, who runs Absolute Soul Secrets, said.

‘Best to avoid signing off on contracts or important decisions, particularly as Mercury Retrograde wreaks havoc in communication. If you have to, you have to, but do be aware there will probably be some changes after Mercury turns direct on October 3rd.’

‘Work on resolving small things in yourself… and get plenty of rest!’ said Ms Smith’

Aries (March 21 to April 19)

This Piscean Harvest Moon calls you Aries to reflect in peace and privacy. It’s a great time to review your dreams and what you want out of life generally. You may feel more compassionate than usual or perhaps you identify with the underdog in some way. Charity might also be on your mind now. Your feelings may seem illogical or out of place in some way, but it’s best to avoid judging them as they are as valid as your thoughts. If you feel out of sorts, know this time will pass soon enough and go easy on yourself. Do watch for impatience and irritability, try to go slowly and be present in this current reality.
