Sure, Sun signs tend to get all the glory in astrology, but the parents-to-be are compatible in so many other ways.

“The most notable thing is that Rihanna’s Aries Moon opposes A$AP’s Libra Sun,” says Lang. Don’t let the word “opposes” trip you up. “This is an indicator of passion and chemistry,” she says. In astrology, tension actually makes for an intense draw between people. And considering the Moon reps home and family life, Lang adds, “It’s no surprise the two are starting a family.”

It’s worth mentioning, the opposition between RiRi and A$AP can lead to controlling tendencies—particularly on Rihanna’s end. Her Aries Moon makes for a need to feel safe before committing, says Lang. “With those significant Aries placements, she has an independent streak, and she probably keeps her heart protected.”

It’s likely why—though they’ve been together since 2013—Rihanna and A$AP took their sweet time confirming their relationship (they only went public in 2021). Thing is, A$AP’s Sun is in Libra, so “he needs more peace, and when a Libra feels too much pressure, they can become aloof or need space.” Lang says a Libra would rather bail, disappear off the map than get into a fight. “A$AP has some of those tendencies,” she notes.

A bonus, however, is that his need for harmony brings out the best qualities in Rihanna. “He might help bring out her soft side with the way his Sun shines on her Moon and Venus, the two softer aspects of our charts,” Lang explains.
