STAMFORD — Mayor Caroline Simmons has tested positive for COVID-19, the city announced in a statement Monday evening.

Despite the apparent infection, Simmons, who is vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19, is feeling well, according to the statement. She will be working from home this week.

This is not Simmons’ first brush with COVID-19. She previously tested positive for the virus in April 2022 and subsequently canceled her appearance at her first State of City address as mayor.
