Manner Coffee to Launch in Hong Kong

The company will become the first coffee
chain from mainland China to operate in Hong Kong and has modified its branding
for the Special Administrative Region.

Manner Coffee is set to open its first store
in Hong Kong under new Manners Coffee branding. Images of the store, which
is currently being renovated at Hong Kong’s World Trade Centre, show the Manner
Coffee logo and new brand name accompanied by the tagline ‘originated from
Manner Coffee’.

When opened, Manner Coffee will become the first coffee chain from mainland China to enter the Hong Kong. The market is currently led by US chain Starbucks and domestic brand Pacific Coffee, which operate approximately 140 and 100 stores respectively.

Launched in Shanghai in 2015, Manner Coffee currently operates more than 300 stores across mainland China. The coffee chain’s convenient small store format and low price-point compared to international competitors has proved popular with Chinese consumers, with many stores located in high footfall office locations.

The quick-serve model, which often features limited in-store seating, caters to strong demand in China for speed, pick-up and delivery.
