Gammon consortium awarded $174m Hong Kong contract
A consortium of three Hong Kong companies – CSI Properties, Gammon Construction and Sino Land Company Limited – have won a $173.6m contract to build a 33-floor residential tower in Yau Tong, Hong Kong.
The tower will contain 792 flats and will be located above the existing MTR Metro line.
Gammon Construction, a 50/50 joint venture with Balfour Beatty, said it will fabricate individual structural steel components offsite to accelerate delivery.
All demolition waste on the project will be recycled and electric-powered battery storage system Enertainer will be used as the primary power source for construction machinery.
At the peak of construction, 500 people will be working on the project. Top Oasis Limited is the client.
Kevin O’Brien, Gammon Construction’s chief executive, said: “We are delighted that Sino Land and CSI Properties have selected Gammon to be their project partner.

Work on the project has already begun and is due to be completed in 2025.
