The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday.

Joining the intensely private 53-year-old actor was his longtime partner Diane Kruger, 46, as well as his son Mingus Reedus, 22, whom he shares with his ex, the model Helena Christensen, and his mother.

The ceremony, which was one of the few times Reedus has ventured out in public with his family, made him the first Walking Dead cast member to receive a star on the iconic landmark.

The Boondock Saints actor’s plaque was placed near the star for George A. Romero, best known for directing the iconic zombie films Night Of The Living Dead (1968) and Dawn Of The Dead (1978).

Reedus’ star was unveiled by horror film director and expert Guillermo del Toro and The Walking Dead showrunner Greg Nicotero.

Norman looked classy in a black suit with wide-legged pants and a black striped tie to match.

Diane looked chic in a black-and-white houndstooth double-breasted blazer dress, while Mingus, who was the spitting image of his mother Helena, wore a black three-piece suit. 

The actor’s appearance with his family member was rare, as he has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years, despite dating another actor and starring in one of the most popular shows of the past decade.

He met his partner Diane in 2015 while filming the movie Sky, and the two were a couple by the following year. In November 2018, they welcome a daughter named Nova, whom they have labored to keep out of the spotlight.

The television star previously dated the supermodel Helena Christensen from 1998 to 2003.

The couple welcomed their son Mingus in 1999, and even after their relationship fizzled out they have continued to be friends and committed coparents to their now-adult son, who had a brush with the law earlier this year.

In March, the celebrity child pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge for punching a woman in the face, which earned him a sentence requiring him to attend five counseling sessions.

Also joining Norman was his mother Marianne, a teacher. She looked lovely in a green butterfly skirt and a black top.
