AUSTIN, Texas — The Longhorns will wrap up the regular-season non-conference slate Saturday night at home when No. 21 ranked Texas hosts UTSA at 7 p.m. CT. Caesars Sportsbook has the Longhorns as a 12.5-point favorite over the Roadrunners as of Saturday afternoon, though they have a number of injuries at key positions that may lead to some backups seeing extended playing time against UTSA.

14:03 left in Q2: The Longhorns answered in a big way to start off the second quarter. After UTSA took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter, the Texas offense put together a scoring drive of its own when starting QB Hudson Card led the offense down the field and into UTSA territory when he connected with RB Roschon Johnson for a 19-yard gain and followed it up with another Card-to-Johnson connection, which went 11 yards for a touchdown.

10:07 left in Q2: The Roadrunners are back on top inside Royal – Memorial Stadium. After Texas scored the first touchdown of the ball game, UTSA answered the call when QB Frank Harris led the offense down into Texas territory and capped it off with RB Brenden Brady ran in a 2-yard score.

9:36 left in Q2: UTSA has extended the lead over the Longhorns. After answering Texas’ touchdown with a score of their own to regain the lead, the Roadrunners successfully recovered their on-side kick to give the offense the ball once again. UTSA answered with a deep touchdown pass from Brady to Zakhari Franklin to go up by 10 on the Longhorns.

5:20 left in Q2: The Longhorns have cut the Roadrunners lead midway through the second quarter. Steve Sarkisian went to some wildcat action on offense with Johnson taking the snap and got things rolling when he took it himself for a 16-yard game and then followed it up two plays later by handing it off to RB Bijan Robinson, who ran in a 3-yard touchdown to make it a 3-point game with UTSA.

00:12 left in Q2: Texas has tied it up with UTSA. After cutting the Roadrunners’ lead to 3 points, the Longhorns’ defense came up with a huge stop to give the ball back to the Texas offense. The offense put together an 11-play drive, but was forced to settle for 44-yard field goal by
