Prep underway for Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez’s Saturday night nuptials

Security was tight at the entrance to Hampton Island in Georgia Saturday, as workers began arriving early to get ready for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck to walk down the aisle at his plantation-style estate later in the day.

Two security guards sat at the entrance to the island, checking IDS for anyone entering Affleck’s 87-acre property.

Once checked, they gave out white paper wrist bands, as police officer sat nearby in a car labeled Liberty County Sheriff.

Workers were seen arriving with suits hanging from their rear passenger side window, along with a few trucks that arrived shortly after 11:30 a.m. They included a truck marked Savannah Vintage, a lighting and furniture company.

The pair were engaged in April.

They had previously been engaged way back in 2002, but split in 2004. Affleck, 50, went on to marry actress Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children –Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13 and Samuel, 10 — and Lopez, 53, eventually married singer Marc Anthony, with whom she had twins, Emme and Max, 14.

One neighbor told The Post that preparations for the three-day wedding celebration had been going on since July. “It’s non-stop,” the neighbor said. “Basically catering and equipment. They’ve been hauling in dirt, tents, horses. Lots of horses.”

“They used to be out here a lot back in the day,” said neighbor Richard Dasher, 49, referring to the Hollywood couple. “They used to come in and out.”

“I know they’ve been working on it for four months,” he said about the wedding, adding he’s “good friends” with a caretaker on the property.

One worker told The Post that he’d been working the property since March. “Man, I’ve been working my behind on that property,” he said. “I’ve been cleaning up, cutting trees, bushes, anything blocking the view of the lake and the house.”

Dasher told The Post a parade of unmarked trucks and vans have made their way to the property over the last week.

“No big deal,” said another neighbor, who did not want to be identified. “They’re just people like us. I like them and their profession. They’re good at what they do but I’m not starstruck. I know they’ve been doing a lot of cleaning up and they rented some side by sides.”
