The World Cup is coming to North America in 2026, and Kansas City has made the cut of locations to host some of the matches, sources told KMBC’s Micheal Mahoney Wednesday night.The World Cup is the biggest sports event in the world, dwarfing the Super Bowl. More than a dozen cities in the United States are in the running. FIFA visited Kansas City in October to meet with city leaders.Some of the matches will be hosted in Canada and Mexico.Power & Light is hosting a watch party Thursday afternoon.
