January 6 committee hearing: Live coverage and updates

One thing I was struck by in reporting on Jan. 6 myself was just how cinematic — how surreal, how dark, but yes, how cinematic — the day was. The Jan. 6 committee has been very clear that one of its goals is to make a compelling presentation of their findings to the public, going so far as to bring onboard a former news executive to help craft their final product. So as we settle in, I’m very curious to see just what form tonight’s first hearing takes: Dry congressional proceeding? Cable news extravaganza? Riveting made-for-TV drama? Tonight, finally, we get our first glimpse.
