Suns vs. Mavericks score: Live NBA playoff updates as Luka Doncic, Dallas seek


The Phoenix Suns are 2-0 in their second-round series matchup against the Dallas Mavericks. They’ve now won 11 straight against the Mavs, tied for the third-longest active win streak in any NBA matchup. Luka Doncic and Co. return home for Games 3 and 4, where they’ve had the best record (23-5) and defensive rating (106.5) in the league since Jan. 1. Phoenix comes to Dallas after boasting the best road record (32-9) in the regular season. With one quarter left to play, it is the Mavericks who own a double-digit lead over the Suns.  

Chris Paul improved to 9-1 in career head-to-head matchups against Doncic after the Suns’ 129-109 Game 2 win, despite the Mavs star finishing with 35 points, seven assists and five rebounds in the loss. For the series, Doncic has put up 80 total points; no other Maverick has produced more than 28 points in the two losses combined. Dallas is 1-9 in best-of-seven series when trailing 2-0.
