New Orleans Jazz Fest Willie Nelson COVID-19 band member

One of New Orleans Jazz Fest’s biggest performers cancelled his set due to a positive coronavirus case.

Willie Nelson’s management released a statement saying that Nelson, 89, canceled his performance this weekend after a member of the band tested positive.

The announcement did not specify if it was Nelson that contracted the virus.

Nelson was set to take the Shell Gentilly Stage at 5:40 p.m. on Sunday night.

This is not the first show Nelson has cancelled in recent weeks. He canceled a performance on April 2 in Texas.
