Prince Harry refuses to say if he misses Prince Charles and William

Prince Harry today refused to comment on whether he misses his brother Prince William and father Prince Charles – but insisted that he still has a ‘special relationship’ with his grandmother the Queen, despite hinting that he will not attend her upcoming Platinum Jubilee celebrations amid ongoing ‘security issues’ in the UK.

Speaking in his latest TV interview with the Today show‘s Hoda Kotb, which aired on the NBC show on Wednesday morning, the 37-year-old Duke of Sussex happily opened up about his bond with the Queen, praising her ‘sense of humor’ and saying that his grandmother is able to ‘talk about things [with him] that she can’t talk about with anybody else’.

He also claimed that he is ‘making sure [the Queen] is protected and got the right people around her’.

However, when asked by Kotb, 57, whether he misses his brother and father, Harry swiftly dodged the question, insisting that he wanted to instead ‘focus’ on the Invictus Games, which he is currently hosting in the Netherlands, and then his own family when he returns to California.

The Duke did open up about his late mother Princess Diana’s ‘constant presence’ in his life, saying that he has felt her ‘watching over’ him more in the past two years – since his sensational exit from the royal family in early 2020 – than ever before, adding that he feels as though his mother helped his brother William to get ‘set up’ with his own family and has now turned her attention to him.

He also revealed that he has talked to his two-year-old son Archie about ‘Grandma Diana’ and shared that he has photos of his late mother in the $14.5 million Montecito mansion he shares with wife Meghan Markle, 40, and their two children.

The interview – which comes just over one year after the Sussexes’ explosive sit-down with Oprah Winfrey – also saw Harry opening up about his role as a father, with the Duke telling Kotb that he ‘loves’ the ‘chaos’ of parenting, while detailing his desire to avoid ‘burnout’ while focusing on his ‘every day mantra’ of ‘trying to make the world a better place for his kids’.
