Time ‘Woman of the Year’ Amal Clooney shares rare comment on her ‘wonderful’ marriage to George Clooney
Human rights lawyer and activist Amal Clooney is among the 12 women Time magazine is celebrating as its women of the year for 2022. In an interview with one of the many journalists whose rights she’s fought to protect in recent years, the London-bred barrister opens up about how she’s fighting for justice for women, in particular, who’ve been subjected to human rights abuses, and how the Clooney Foundation she and her husband, George Clooney, serves an extension of that advocacy work. Amal, 44, also shares a few rare comments about her life with the Oscar winner, 60, and their 4-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella. Asked how she’s affected by her celebrity status, high-profile marriage and the sometimes “sexist coverage” of her life that comes with those things, Amal explains that being a wife and mom helps her maintain a certain “balance.” “Marriage has been wonderful,” she says. “I have in my husband a partner who is incredibly inspirational and supportive, and we have a home filled with love and laughter. It is a joy beyond anything I could ever have imagined. I feel so lucky to have found a great love in my life, and to be a mother — this is how I get my balance.” As far as the added spotlight she’s found herself in since marrying George, she says, “I think all I can do is try to turn the spotlight to what is important.” Adding, “If I am at a work function and reporting of it focuses on irrelevant issues, there’s not much I can do about that,” Amal says, “Since I can’t control it, my approach is just not to dwell on it and just get on with my work and my life and hope that attitudes will catch up. And I do actually feel like there is a female solidarity that has built up on these issues where other women will sort of call that out in a way that maybe wouldn’t have happened five or 10 years ago. So attitudes are changing.”

According to a March 3 report from Page Six, he resurfaced on the platform for under an hour on March 2, the same day a judge granted Kim her…
