Chiefs vs. Steelers score: Live updates, results, game stats, highlights, TV,

In a dominant performance, the Chiefs took a commanding 23-0 halftime lead over the visiting Steelers. Kansas City scored on four of its five first-half possessions (a missed field goal), as Patrick Mahomes threw for 192 yards and two touchdowns in the game’s first 30 minutes.

Kansas City’s defense set up the game’s second touchdown on Charvarius Ward’s interception of Ben Roethlisberger on the first play of Pittsburgh’s second possession. The Steelers’ only productive drive ended with Chris Boswell’s first missed field goal of under 40 yards this season. The Chiefs also missed a field goal when Elliott Fry was unable to parlay Ward’s fourth-down stuff of Najee Harris into points just before halftime on a 39-yard attempt. Fry is playing in place of Harrison Butker, who along with Travis Kelce is on the Chiefs’ reserve/COVID-19 list.

The Chiefs are trying to stay ahead of the field in the race to win the AFC’s top seed. The Steelers are trying to stay alive in the race to earn one of the conference’s wild card spots.
