Beneficiaries of Medicare Part A will have to pay $1,556 in 2022 for inpatient hospital stays, which is a rise of $72 from $1,484 in 2021.

This covers the beneficiaries’ share of the costs for the first 60 days of Medicare-covered impatient hospital care in a benefit period.

Those beneficiaries in skilled nursing facilities will have to pay $194.50 in 2022 ($185.50 in 2021) for daily coinsurance for days 21 through 100 when it comes to extended care services in a benefit period.
