Tua goes deep

It hasn’t been pretty, but the Dolphins have done just enough thus far to hold off the Jets. The go-ahead score came on a 65-yard bomb from Tua Tagovailoa to Mack Hollins. It seemed as though Hollins would step out of bounds inside the 10-yard line, but in classic Jets fashion, the defender literally pushed Hollins forward and across the goal line for the score.

Mooney breaks free!

The Bears offense had done absolutely nothing against the Ravens through three-and-a-half quarters, and now Chicago was relying on Andy Dalton with Justin Fields questionable to return with a ribs injury. Then Darnell Mooney happened. Dalton tossed the ball to Mooney on a bubble screen, and the 2020 fifth-round pick did the rest, sprinting between two blockers, making a devastating cut (for the Ravens defender) and was off to the races for a 60-yard score. All of the sudden, Chicago has the lead.

Tyrod can’t be stopped!

After one of the worst special teams blunders of the season from the Titans, the Texans capitalized with yet another rushing touchdown from Tyrod Taylor — this one a five-yard scamper in which he dove for the front-left pylon before the defender could bring him down.

Darius Slays another offense

Make that two straight games with a touchdown for Darius Slay. The Eagles’ Pro Bowl cornerback baited Trevor Siemian into a throw to the right, jumped the route and streaked down the sideline for a score that served as a back-breaker for the Saints before halftime.

Rodgers on the run!

In dire need of a big play with the Packers trailing, 16-3, future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers delivered with a dime of a pass on the run to tight end Josiah Deguara for the 25-yard touchdown. Vikings hold a 16-10 lead entering the third quarter.

First-half hat trick

The Colts are taking it to the Bills thanks in large part to Jonathan Taylor, who has 98 yards and three touchdowns in the first half alone. His latest score, which came after the Bills fumbled on the kickoff, gave Indianapolis a commanding 24-7 advantage.

Cam 2, Ron Rivera 0

Ron Rivera has seen this so many times before — Cam Newton running wild against opposing defenses — only he’s almost always been on the same side as one of the NFL‘s best running quarterbacks ever….
