Watch ‘The Wanderers’: Inflation slams NYC ahead of Thanksgiving; Pfizer seeks

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Higher prices due to inflation are hitting New Yorkers in the pocketbook a week before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Gasoline is more expensive, as is food in the supermarket. National Grid warned customers that they should be prepared to pay $50 more a month this winter to heat their homes.

Meanwhile, the Pfizer drug company, which already has a COVID-19 vaccine on the market, has asked the FDA for emergency approval for a pill that’s aimed at treating high-risk people sick with the virus.

There are so many places that make Staten Island unique.

And Advance colleague Mark Stein and I are determined to visit them all.

That’s what “The Wanderers” on Facebook Live is all about: The beautiful, unique, spooky and odd places that make Staten Island the best place to live in New York City.
