Ohio Democrat calls Vance an ‘ass—-‘ over Baldwin tweet

Vance over a tweet about actor Alec Baldwin following an incident on a movie set that left one dead and another injured.

Baldwin fatally shot one woman and injured a man on the set of his upcoming film “Rust,” with authorities investigating what happened with the prop gun.

Vance, a lawyer and bestselling author of the book “Hillbilly Elegy,” said Friday that Twitter should allow former President TrumpDonald TrumpHarris stumps for McAuliffe in Virginia On The Money — Sussing out what Sinema wants Hillicon Valley — Presented by Xerox — The Facebook Oversight Board is not pleased MORE back on to the platform to see what he had to say about the incident.

“Dear @jack let Trump back on. We need Alec Baldwin tweets,” Vance tweeted.

Ryan fired back at his opponent, calling him an “asshole” for his comment.

“Someone died, you asshole,” Ryan said.

Trump has often taken aim at Baldwin. The actor and producer began playing the former president before the 2016 election on “Saturday Night Live,” often jabbing at Trump as part of political satire. Baldwin continued to make appearances on the comedy sketch show throughout his presidency and after the 2020 election.

News broke Friday morning that Baldwin, 63, fatally shot Halyna Hutchins, “Rust’s” director of photography. The director, 42, was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

Joel Souza, the 48-year-old director, is still in treatment for his injuries from the incident.

Later in the day, Baldwin released a statement saying that he is fully cooperating with authorities in the probe over the events. Prop guns used in film and television are normally filled with blanks.

“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours,” Baldwin tweeted Friday.

“I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna,” he added.
