Alex Collins injured late in Seahawks’ overtime loss to Steelers

The Seattle Seahawks dropped an overtime contest 23-20 in Pittsburgh to the Steelers on Sunday night. With the loss came a few injuries, including to running back Alex Collins, who got banged up late in the game.

The severity of the injury is not yet known, as more clarity will be given throughout the week leading up to the Monday night home game vs the Saints. This should answer any questions as to why Travis Homer and Deejay Dallas were getting the carries in overtime.

Collins received 20 carries for 101 yards in the loss, while also catching one pass. He is the first Seahawk this season to eclipse the century mark in a game and the first one to get over 100 yards rushing for the team since December 2019.

Collins has started at running back each of the last two games with Chris Carson, who is now on Injured Reserve, still sidelined due to a neck injury. Rashaad Penny is eligible to come off of IR this upcoming week.
