Chargers vs. Raiders ‘Monday Night Football’ game delayed due to lightning

Lighting will delay Monday night’s game between the Raiders and Chargers. The showdown between the AFC West rivals is now slated to kick off at 8:50 p.m. ET. 

Lighting was seen near SoFi Stadium moments before the game was slated to start. Shortly thereafter, the public address announcer announced that the game would be delayed while asking fans to exit their seats. 

Raiders coach Jon Gruden offered a priceless reaction upon being told that the game would be delayed. 

As detailed below, the openings on the sides of the stadium is undoubtedly a big reason why Monday night’s game has been delayed. 

The Chargers are hoping to hand the Raiders their first loss of the season. Los Angeles is 2-1 after defeating the Chiefs last week in Arrowhead Stadium.
