Rep. Miller-Meeks announces run for re-election
Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks is looking for a second term in Congress. During an appearance in Iowa City this weekend, the republican congresswoman stated she had plans to run again for the second district, according to CBS 2. She was joined by former Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad, Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton and fellow Republican Congress members Rep. Randy Feenstra and Rep. Ashley Hinson. Miller-Meek wrote on Facebook, “I am honored to represented (Iowa’s second district) in the U.S. Congress and I will never stop fighting for the people of Iowa.” The new redistricting proposal would have Miller-Meek representing parts of eastern Iowa such as Waterloo and Dubuque.
